Interview with our CEO: a summary of the past months

Hi Riccardo! We’re approaching the end of a year marked by significant challenges and important innovations: in your opinion, what have been the main challenges faced by Aidia over the past year?

This has been a challenging year, but I can confidently say it was worth it, as it brought us numerous satisfactions. From the beginning, we have been deeply committed to positioning ourselves as leaders in Tuscany in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. These efforts have allowed us not only to improve our market position but also to confirm our status as a benchmark in the industry. The relationships we have built and the trust we have established with our partners have been fundamental to our success and have given us the motivation to continue growing and innovating. In conclusion, although the year has been demanding, every step along the way has contributed to making it extraordinary and rewarding.

Compared to the current landscape, what sets your company apart from the competition?

Unlike many companies in the sector, we at Aidia regularly invest in the training of our team and do not limit ourselves to a single area of expertise. For example, in recent weeks, we have been running a course for our UX Designers to provide our developers with a foundation in UX. This approach allows us to develop cross-disciplinary skills, enabling us to seize opportunities where our competitors cannot.

How would you describe the current macroeconomic situation and its impact on business?

As I mentioned earlier, this has been a very challenging year, especially during the last semester: rising prices, inflation, and geopolitical tensions have influenced the economy, leading to a slowdown in investments by many companies. This environment has made it difficult for many organizations, not just in Europe, to move with agility.

Given the market trends, what are Aidia’s future projects, and how do you plan to address the current macroeconomic situation?

Despite the market trends, we remain enthusiastic and are moving forward with the development of our internal products. We have dedicated many resources to innovative solutions for the manufacturing sector, and we believe that in 2025 we will finally be able to bring our two new solutions to market: A.V.A., our corporate chatbot, and Sphera Quality Control, our product dedicated to quality control.

There has been significant work on the team front as well: how would you describe this aspect of Aidia’s growth?

We have seen significant growth compared to last year: we are now a team of 30 people. One aspect that is very important to us is the well-being of our team, which is why we have introduced new welfare policies. In addition to our strong online presence, we are focusing on physical events, training courses, and starting next year, you will be able to meet us in person at Mecspe 2025!

Finally, what would you recommend to those looking to venture into the field of AI and automation?

I believe that the golden moment for Artificial Intelligence is now. The opportunities offered by this sector are remarkable. It is a field that is constantly evolving, so it is essential to stay up to date with progress. Those interested in this field should start training immediately. And for those considering starting a startup, I wish you good luck, but I would recommend proceeding with caution.
