Interview with CEO Riccardo Celli

Aidia was born in 2020, right in the most delicate phase of the Pandemic, from the idea of three computer engineers specialized in Artificial Intelligence: Francesco, Luca, and Riccardo. We decided to get to know them a little better and to start, we asked a few questions to one of the three: the CEO, Riccardo Celli.

Riccardo, you are one of the three founders of Aidia: tell us, how was Aidia born? What is your inspiration for doing business?

Aidia was born from the desire of the founding partners to create a new, young, and dynamic reality that can bring new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning into the business world. Unfortunately, in Italy, we are very behind from a technological point of view and culturally we Italians are not very inclined to “change what continues to work.” We want to revolutionize this thinking a bit, pushing people to ask themselves: how can I improve? What can I add? How to make something that already works better? Aidia wants people to start asking these questions and then wants to help them find the answers.

And today? What is Aidia today and how is it going?

Aidia is a very young company, just think that it was born about a year ago. However, we are very satisfied with the company’s performance and we already count a staff of 10 resources: numbers in hand, I would say we started well! Compared to 2020, the year in which Covid changed the game, we have established important partnerships and created excellent relationships with some of our clients.

Really a great start. What do you think is Aidia’s strength?

Aidia’s strength lies entirely in the people who work there: our team is full of young people with a great desire to do, a great hunger for results, and we believe that skills are our real strength. We care a lot about being competent and for this reason, we provide continuous training to our employees.

The AI sector has seen significant growth in recent years and now even in Italy, it is expanding year by year. What would you advise a company that is thinking for the first time about investing in this technology?

Although it is believed that AI has arrived in Italy for a few years, I feel like saying that we are actually at the beginning. It is not easy to find people who want to invest in these cutting-edge technologies, probably because the use cases where to apply it are still unclear. However, I feel like advising companies to trust these new technologies and let themselves be guided: the application cases are truly endless and in every experience, we have always brought a very important added value, both in terms of cost savings, in terms of performance improvement, and in terms of higher quality achieved.

Last question: what is your vision for the future of Aidia? How do you expect the world of AI to change?

The world of AI is destined to expand and these technologies will become the undisputed masters in the world of computing, along with robotics and new electronic technologies. We expect Aidia to grow at a steady pace even during the next year and we plan to launch our first scalable products on the market, to bring many companies and people closer to the world of Artificial Intelligence.
